Soft but defined Pink Eye

Hi everyone,

Most women rarely use the colour pink on their eyes and in my opinion rightly so, it is very easy to use that colour wrong and you will look like you’ve cried the night before and that really isn’t attractive is it?

So I have a look for anyone who does want to wear this colour successfully.

Hi everyone,

I’m still rocking the Tickle my Triangle nails and I’m also wearing a purple “Make a change – Save the world” shirt, so to go with those colours I went for this makeup today:

Again this was easier then it looks, these are the products I used:
Make Up For Ever – Aqua Liner in 15L as a base on the lid, I went over this with Urban Decay – Adore which I blended out at the top.
I then went over the blended out part with Urban Decay – Fishnet which means the colours blend easily together and I blended that up to slightly above the crease.
I then took a pink from the Sephora Color Play 5-1 Palette and with a fluffy brush I blended that purple out.
I used a little mixture of Make Up For Ever – Aqua Liner in 15L and Urban Decay – 24/7 pencil in Zero on my waterline.
The mascaras I’m wearing are YSL – Singulier at the base and Rimmel London Extra Super Lash Mascara in Electric Blue on the tips.

2 looks in this post ;)

Hi everyone,

I was invited to a party last Saturday. Nic and me wanted to look bright and happy, so I did these looks on us:

Me:
I’d been taking Biodermal antiaging SkinSupplements for about a week before this picture was taken and I’ve been drinking Dr. Brandt – Green Tea Anti Oxidant Water Booster for 2 days before this picture was taken. All of a sudden I was very aware I’m turning 30 this year and I don’t want to look 30 so I’m taking care of my skin inside and out. I got these supplements somewhere last year but forgot to take them in the mess that I call my life. So I dug them up and the Biodermal supplement helps the skin against againg from the inside out, it works on the deeper skinlayers that creams can’t reach and feeds the skincells, it protects collagen and elastine and helps to produce collagen. The Dr. Brandt Water Booster makes 15 cups of green tea out of one dropper of supplement, it’s made of natural ingredients and I love the taste of it.

I started with a good scrub using Garnier CleanDetox Exfolianting scrubwash, this takes off all the dirt and scrubs at the same time. Afterwards I used some SK-II minis, starting with Facial Treatment Essence, followed by Aqua Physics Serum and I let some Whitening Source DermDefinition sink in to some dark spots on my face (they’re actually clearing up, so I’m getting a bigger version of this!!) After this all sunk into my skin I took some other SK-II testers and started with Facial Lift Emulsion and then ended with a mixture of a little of Aqua Physics and Signs Treatment Totality. I got the set of minis at Strawberrynet.com, for the direct link to the set click here.

It was a party that started after sundown, so I didn’t need a sunscreen and therefor I used Make Up For Ever, HD Primer in 001 Neutral as a primer, even though this feels very light, it keeps the makeup stay amazing all night! As a foundation I used half a pump of Make Up For Ever, HD Foundation in 155, I applied this only around the hairline (blending very very well into the hairline) and jawline, this slims the face and on the centre of my face I used half a pump of the Make Up For Ever, HD Foundation in 140 Soft Beige. I then used a little Chanel Bronze Universal to contour my cheeks and MUFE lift concealer (mixing no 1 and 2) under my eyes. I used Laura Mercier – Undercover Pot in no. 3 to conceal a little blemish on my nose. I then set the makeup with a very light dusting of Laura Mercier – Lanslucent Loose Setting Powder. I used Mac’s Harmony blush as a contouring powder (thank you Tanya Burr for telling me about this colour) and my Illamasqua – Highlighter brush to contour under my cheekbones and on the temples and on my jawline. Now I know this all sounds like a LOT of makeup, and it is a lot of different products, but I used very little of each product, you can still see my skin through the makeup, it doesn’t look cakey.

I have a natural flush, so no blusher was needed and I was now ready to start with my eye-makeup. I used MAC’s Painterly Paintpot as a base and used 4 MAC pigments as shadows. I wanted the look to be natural and pretty, so no hard pop’s of colour, but a wash of colours. I started with Kitchmas on the inner 1/4 of the lid and then used Violet on the next 1/4, on the outer half I used my favourite colour ever which is Cornflower and used a little Naval Blue on the outer crease and on my lower lashline. I didn’t curl my lashes and used Rimmel London Sexy Curves in waterproof Black as a mascara on my top lashes only. I set everything with some MAC Fix Plus (which gave me a dewy finish that I loved!!) and on my lips I’m wearing Smashbox – Lip Paint in Virtuoso.

Nic:
Nic was warned by me the previous day that she would get a fake tan and that she should scrub and moisturise extremely well to ensure a streakless colour. I wanted to give Nic a beachy glow because she has the most beautiful blue eyes when she’s tan. I used Lancome – Flash Bronze face bronzer and blended this down to past her neck. When using false tan on ones body/face, always make sure you don’t see tanlines (so blend the neck and hairline when it’s tha face and blend out the colour very well if you’re only doing your legs). To contour her face I used a Smashbox contouring powder.

I used a L’Oreal browpencil with a Model’s Own Angled Makeup Brush to ensure a natural finish. On her eyes I used MAC’s Soft Ochre Paintpot and then used Original i-Divine Palette (Sleek).

I used the lightest golden shade on her inner corners and then took the turqoise on the centre of her lid and some of the blue on the outer corner. I used the purple over this and blended this all through the crease (going pretty far in) I also mixed the purple and the blue on the lower lashlines (also going inward very much (to bring her eyes closer together). Nic is wearing her own mascara on top and lower lashes and has a lipbalm on her lips to keep her looking natural.

Pink and Purple Eye

Hi everyone,

I did this amazingly pretty pink and purple eye ook Nouk a while ago and I promised you guys to tell you how I did it so here it is.

I knew that when working with pinks and purples that the littlest fallout would make her look like she was punched in the eyes, so I did the eyes first and then the foundation.

Eyes
I used Urban Decay – Eyeshadow Primer Potion to ensure her eye makeup to stay on perfectly. As a basecolour I used Smashbox Eyeshadow in Vanilla and then I used a little Sephora – Colorful Mat Mono Eyeshadow in White on the inner corners of her eyes to brighten them a little more. For these colours I used an Urban Decay – Crease Brush I used Urban Decay – DeLuxe Eyeshadow in Sting (which is the pink you see) starting very lightly and then building the colour up more on the outer corner. When working with pinks and reds, you should always line the eyes with another colour and blending very very well. I also used this colour very slightly on the lower lashline. On to ensure great blending I used a Models Own – Shading Eyeshadow Brush because it’s sooo fluffy, on the lower lashline I used an Urban Decay – Wonder Brush, this brush gives amazing precision.

I used a little bit of Urban Decay – Fishnet around her lashline to make the pink a little more purple. I also used a little of this on the outer part of her eyelid. In her crease I used Urban Decay – Freakshow to add depth to the eyes and I also blended this on her lower lashline. I used this more on the upper part of the crease and blending it up a lot, opening the crease up even more.

To make her look even more special I added a thin line of Models Own – Glitter Eyeliner in Purple Princess. Nouk used her own mascara thickly on her lashes and this finished the eyes.

Face
I took away all the fallout under her eyes and used some extra moisturizing eyecream under her eye. To prepare the face for the look I used Smashbox – Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light. I applied this with a Make Up For Ever – Finishing (foundation) brush in N20 this is a small foundation brush which has a little of a pointy tip, which means it’s great for foundation and the occasional concealer application. I used Smashbox – High Definition Healthy FX Foundation in Light L3 and Sephora’s – Concealer Palette to highlight under her eyes. I used Make Up For Ever – HD Powder to set the makeup with a large powder brush. I contoured her cheekbones with a dark contouring powder by Smashbox and used this on her jawline as well.
