Hi everyone,

I wanted to show you how you can alter a quick and easy look to make it seem like a different look when it’s basically the same.

This look is very simple, you place a gold shade (Urban Decay – Half Baked) on the lid and use a slightly darker gold (Urban Decay – Baked) in the crease, blend this well. You then use the lighter gold (Half Baked) on the inner corner of the lower lashline and (darker gold) Half Baked on the outer corner of the lower lashline. The pop of turquoise colour (Urban Decay – Shattered) on the middle of the lower lashline adds a summery edge to the look.

To define the eye a little more but keep it light you shouldn’t take a hard black, but a warm tinted brown eyeliner pencil (Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner Pencil – Bourbon) to line the waterline and define the eye some more.

As a mascara I used the YSL – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking in black. This mascara is impressing me ever so slightly, why you might ask? Well, because even though it isn’t waterproof, it does hold up to a little rain, but taking it off doesn’t require a lot of rubbing even with a not amazing makeup remover.

For the next look I used the same basic technique only different colours.

As a basic lid colour and on the inner undereyeline I used a light shimmery champaign/vanilla colour (Urban Decay – Virgin), in the crease and lower outer corner I used a matte beige that’s the colour my skin has in the shade (Urban Decay – Naked). As the pop of colour I used a shimmery lavender (with silver microparticles) (Urban Decay – Grifter). I used no colour on the waterline and a more natural mascara in black (Maybelline – Lash Stiletto). I left my brows slightly undone to keep it natural but the hint of colour under the eye makes it a look that makes people take a second look because they don’t expect colour.

Hi everyone,

After my holiday, I kept my old polish on for another half a week, so after about 10 days my nailpolish looked like this:

I’ve had my nephew at home this week so I needed another long lasting polish but I also wanted some nail art and I wanted a reminder of a great holiday with my boyfriend. So I took another gift from him to beautify my nails. I used Sally Hansen salon effects in 340 Girl Flower.

Isn’t she pretty? I love these! I know I can make them last for over the 10 days it says it will last if I don’t take baths. So shower it is for the coming week at least, a small price to pay for these cute nails.

You clean your nail with the buffer in the packet, then use a nailpolish remover to take away any oilyness. You press on the polish strips (unlike the stickers that other brands sell, these nailpolish strips actually are polish and do stay on for so much longer because of it). You then file away the edge and you’re done, no drying time or anything, this is so quick and easy that anyone can do this.

Hi everyone,

This really is my last blog until I’m back from holiday. My adventure has actually started already and I’m already on my way…. but I wanted to finish this before I relaxed completely.

I’m going to England for about a week and I’m bringing only handluggage. Now I’ve chosen a sportsbag by Fila because it’s the right size and has handy compartments.

Because I’m using this and only this bag, I’ve been thinking a lot about my fluids to bring with me. I haven’t flown since 9/11 and with all the restrictions it’s getting difficult to pack only handluggage.

I’ll talk you through my fluids first. You can bring max. 10 products of max. 100 ml in a 1 litre ziplock bag. So that meant figuring out what’s a fluid and apparently creams are fluids too so that includes toothpaste and balms and lipgloss and mascara ARGH!!! How am I going to do this? Well, like this:

Let me tell you about what I’m bringing fluid wise:

Products mentioned in the video:
- Generic Brand handsanitizer
When you travel you touch a lot of unhygienic things and I don’t want to eat something afterwards and then have all those germs on my hands. I’m not a germophobe, but I really don’t want to get sick this holiday and prevention is my main thing.

- Contact lens fluid
Why do they sell my contact lens fluid travel size in a 125 ml bottle? That’s just plain stupid!! So I got this handy container at the drugstore to bring some with me. I can actually throw it out on the way back if I need the room for another fluid.

- Shu Uemura - Cleansing Oil
This oil dissolves makeup and you then wash it away with a cloth. I don’t like wipes on my face because it leaves a residue and I really detest that feeling so I’m bringing my cleansing oil with me.

- Eucerin – Hyal-Urea Eyecream
A great small eyecream that is empty enough that if I really need extra room for fluids on the way back that I can toss it. I do love how it keeps my eye area moisturized as well, so a great product.

- Kiehl’s – Midnight Recovery Concentrate
I wish I had a big bottle of this stuff!! But for this holiday I’m going to enjoy every drop of this.

- Estee Lauder – Daywear Plus Sheer Multi Protection Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
This cream is a moisturizer, it’s tint evens out skintone a little and has an SPF in it. I bought this for my last holiday and this had been used so much that this is my second tube.

- Odorex – deoderant cream
This is amazing especially when you know you’ll be in a coat walking around for an entire day and you don’t want a smelly surprise when you take that coat off at the end of the day.

- Make Up For Ever – Smoky Lash
Even the non Aqua version of this hold up against water pretty well and because I’m not bringing a big eyemakeup remover bottle and have to pack lightly, I’m bringing my normal Black non waterproof version of this amazing volumising mascara

- Elizabeth Arden – Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Limited Edition Red Door Tin
This red door tin is a Limited Edition but is great for travel because the stick can’t break. I love 8 hour creams I I’ve been known to wear even the lip version everywhere. I’m addicted to this cream and I couldn’t have gone on holiday without it.

- Mixture of John Frieda – Frizz Ease & Shine Shock Leave On Perfecting Glosser
I couldn’t choose between the two because without the Frizz Ease I have a frizzy head of hair and without the shine shock it looks dull and I always mix them on my hand to get the perfect non greasy non frizzy curly hair. So I mixed them in a pot and I’m brining them with me as well. Also this is another pot that can be left in the UK if I need the space.

You might be wondering about the toothpaste, my boyfriend is bringing that

The rest of my bag looks like this:

I have the following items in my hand luggage and that’s all I’m bringing for one week of holiday in the UK.

Hi everyone,

I did a little bit of a review last year on these Urban Decay Body Jewelry (temporary tattoos) here:

Urban Decay tattoo

But I thought I’d show you how to apply them in a video. Now if you don’t do anything strange, these tattoos can stay on your leg without damage for 3 days and with minor damage even for a week if you don’t take long baths and don’t touch them a lot. (* Edit: This one lasted for my entire holiday without mayor damage, I even had to remove it with oil and a lot of scrubbing afterwards)

I’ve worn these tattoos a lot for a while and then when winter came I lost interest but now that spring and summer are coming back so has my love for these. I’ve had the necklace piece on as well and as with most of these sheets you save your favourites and don’t use your least favourites. Thankfully I have three backup rolls

On the packaging it says:
Our body jewelry is back – in artfully illustrated chains, charms, jewels and exotic flowers that shatter notions about temporary tattoos. They practically beg you to customize your own style. Try a sexy chain draped over a flower or matching charms on each wrist. Embellish your body without commitment, (and show up squeaky clean at a board meeting the next day). You can even try them as added detail to your existing ink.

I think it’s safe to say (with three backups in my drawer) that I lust after these things. So a great thing to have and always good for a day when you need a sneaky pick me up, a hint of sexy or just because you love them.

Products mentioned in this video:

- Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in 151
This is such an amazing gloss!! Dior makes great glosses and I highly recommend them.

- Urban Decay – Original Primer Potion
Where would I be without my trusted Primer Potion. All shadows tend to crease on me and this little potion makes everything stay beautiful and where I placed it the entire day and night.

- Make Up For Ever – 12 Flash Color Case (Turqoise Colour)
Why am I using 2 bases? Well, because the Urban Decay makes sure it will not budge and the Make Up For Ever colour will add extra strength to the colour I’m adding on top.

- Sephora Palette brought out in 2011 (using a turquise shimmer and a slightly darker turqoise shimmer)
I’m using my finger as an applicator because I don’t want my brushes lying around whilst I’m not there and leaving them to dry and have someone else needing to clean up after me, but also because looks like this can be done without using a lot of brushes.

- Illamasqua – Pure Pigment in the colour Lust (no longer available)
These pigments are AMAZING! They don’t move after you’ve applied them and I personally have little trouble with fallout. The jars make spilling less of a problem as well so if you’re someone who loves working with pigments and you’ve never tried these before, do give them a go, you might fall in love with them.

- Clinique – Brush on Cream Eyeliner in 002 True Black
If you close the lid immediately (not just place it on the jar, but actually close it) this cream liner will not dry out and can actually be used up unlike the MAC cream and Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners. Application is a breeze and colour payoff is also great.

Why am I using a black eyeliner? Well with a light and bright eyelook like this you need something like a strong yet subtle lashline to “ground” the look and make it look less airy and more real in my opinion. Also the brights on the lashline can make your lashes look thinner then they are so you’re adding to the base of the lashline to make your lashes look thicker.

- Yves Saint Laurent – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking
The smell of this mascara is getting really annoying to me. But you guys can see how easy it applies and no clumpy lashes at all.

The nailpolish I’m wearing is no. 51 by Nfu-Oh

Hi everyone,

When I was reorganizing and photographing my polishes I re-fell in love with this amazing blue (with a hint of purple) jelly with multichrome red and green flakes. Nfu-Oh polishes are always a treat to the eye and I’m hoping this manicure will last for a week because I can’t remove it when I’m on holiday (unless I buy nailpolish remover).

So here are my holiday nails:

Sunlight:

Flash:

I’m wearing 4 coats of this polish over a Herome strengthening basecoat.

Hi everyone,

I did this bright makeup because I felt like adding colour after the many browns and neutrals of the last few months if I even wore any makeup at all.

When I did this look I immediately had the plan of testing this Yves Saint Laurent – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking (6,4 ml = €30,48) that was in my April GlossyBox. I started today to see if my curl would fall, which it didn’t .

I’ll do water testing and tell you guys about removal and how it lasts etc etc in the next coming month. But first here are the pictures of the mascara on my lashes today when I first applied it:
(All pencils and shadows used are by Urban Decay).

After shopping and cooking and playing board games etc etc. The shadow & mascara look like this:

Hi everyone,

This box got here very late today so I had to film the unboxing and then run to meet my friends. I typed this when I got home and hope that the video will be done uploading when I wake up in the middle of the night to do my nightly walk to the bathroom (too much information? )

For more information on the Truly Yours box go to www.trulyyours.nl

The following products were in this box:
- L’Occitane – Shea Butter Ultra Rich Hand Cream (30 ml miniature = €7) (150 ml full size = €19)
This thick cream soaks into the skin surprisingly well leaving the hands moisturized and soft. The fresh sent is very springlike but not overbearing. I love using this on my cuticles as well because it softens and nourishes skin. I feel like if I’d had this in the cold winter months my hands would have been better protected against the cold.

- The Original Maroccanoil Treatment (25 ml miniature = €14,90) (100 ml full size = €39,90)
Many people love this product… and I still don’t, maybe because I know how my hair looks and feels when using Macadamia Natural Oil but the Maroccanoil makes my hair oily and the curl leaves my hair, my sister’s hair falls flat (no, I know you need only a drop, I’ve used half a drop and still flat), my mother has short hair and her hair even doesn’t do what it does when she used the Macadamia Natural Oil so that will remain a favourite for us. I’ll see what my “sister-in-law” thinks of it when I visit her tomorrow since she has very different hair then I do.

- Thierry Mugler – Womanity Eau Pour Elles (5 ml miniature Eau de Toilette) (refillable 50 ml full size = €59)
This scent kept surprising me the entire night, sometimes I caught a little of the scent and was amazed about how I actually loved it even though I don’t usually go for a scent like this. This eau de toilette is an amazing miniture bottle that’s got a tribal and a feminine feel to it all in one. I get a feline idea when looking at the bottle and smelling at the same time. It’s got something I can’t put my finger on but’s got conflict and creativity all balled up in one bottle. The first scent is fruity and sweet and salty all in one, but on the skin it settles into a softer more woman and less lady in heat type of smell.

- Nablus Natural Olive Oil Soap in Fresh Mint (100 gr full size = €5,20)
It smells very clean and I will use this when I’m back from my holiday. So look out for a review coming soon.
I know menthol and mint refresh the skin and can soothe as well. I hope it doesn’t make my skin feel dry.

- Chestnut Cosmetics – Instant Bronzing Lotion (100 ml Fullsize = €19,95)
I planned on trying this tonight but had no time. Hopefully tomorrow before I leave I’ll have some time to make my legs somewhat more tan.
So I placed it on 2 cotton pads and went over my legs and now I have streaky legs!! It does bronze them up quickly and dries quickly, but I think because it dries so quickly and you’re applying with a cotton pad (instructions on their website) it leaves more of a colour stain where you first placed the colour and when that dries out somewhat it leaves less of a stain which makes it streaky. Also I think the colour is very fake on me, the slowly buildable lotions (like L’Oreal and Neutrogena) do a better job of making my legs look naturally streakless tanned without the sun.
