A couple of LotDs from 2012

Hi everyone,

This is a LotD from last September. It’s so easy all you do after your normal foundation routine is add a light bronze primer over your lid (blended slightly higher then your crease) (I used Make Up For Ever – Aqua Cream in 15 Taupe) and over this I used Urban Decay’s Last Call shadow. Tightline the top lashline (put a black eyeliner pencil on your top waterline), curl your lashes and add a black mascara. On my lips I’m wearing the lipstick that came in the Glossybox which is by Kryolan for GlossyBox in the colour Glossy Pink. ______________________________________________________________________________________ This LotD is also from September and it was made using Continue reading

Soft but defined Pink Eye

Hi everyone,

Most women rarely use the colour pink on their eyes and in my opinion rightly so, it is very easy to use that colour wrong and you will look like you’ve cried the night before and that really isn’t attractive is it?

So I have a look for anyone who does want to wear this colour successfully.

Urban Decay – Fun Palette

Hi everyone,

When I first bought the Fun Palette I thought you could only do really bright looks with this palette, but when using it more I found out that you can also do a really toned down look with it.

This palette comes with a 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Oil Slick which is a black with teeny silver glitter, but for this look I used 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Lucky (a brilliant deep copper colour).

For this look I used:
Sin on my lid.
Baked in the crease
Uzi on the inner eye corner
Lucky as a line on the top lashline and on my waterline.
Lastly I put a black mascara on my lashes.

Quick & Easy Romantic Eyes

Hi everyone,

These are easy smokey eyes that are great for if you’re in a hurry coming Valentine’s Day.

You basically get a grey cream eyeliner (I used one by Smashbox here) and smudge that all around your eye. If you have oily eyelids, set this with an elephant’s grey tinted eyeshadow. Curl your lashes and add mascara, a bright pink gloss dabbed on your lips and you’re done. (If you have a dry skin, you can if you like to, add the same gloss as a blush, using very little and patting it into the skin).

Defined neutral smoke

Hi everyone,

This is a ready for work type of look, it’s very simple, you basically need a matte eyeshadow that is the same colour of your skin, you use this to take out any discolouration on your eyes is there is any.

Now take a slightly darker matte shadow and define the crease.

All you need now is a brown soft eyeliner pencil (not a glitter pencil) you line your waterline and your top and lower lashline and smudge this a little with a dome shaped brush, curl your lashes and add a mascara and your done.

Many Eyeliner looks

Hi everyone,

I sometimes like the easy and quick look of an eyeliner, now I say quick and easy because I’ve done quite a few eyeliner eyes in my lifetime and I can actually line my eyes pretty quickly and without much trouble. But I thought I’d show you some of my quick and easy looks using practically only eyeliner to make the look come together.

Lining only the outer corner:

Valentine’s Day look (First date makeup)

Hi everyone,

I did this very cute Valentine’s Day look for last year’s Valentine’s Day but became to ill to actually put it up before February 14th. This means I don’t know the exact products used in these pictures anymore, but I will tell you what I would use right now because I still think this look is very cute.

The thing about Valentine’s Day makeup is that most men don’t like women wearing loads of makeup, but when we wear no makeup at all that is not what they want. So we find a middle ground, we still feel sexy and comfortable, but we’re not doing the Red lip and false lashes in this look. We’re staying approachable and kissable. Also remember the most beautiful accessoire is a Smile!!!

I’m guessing I used the Naked Palette by Urban Decay for this look because it has all the colours needed for this look.

Always start looks off with Continue reading

Dinner with the in-laws

Hi everyone,

When you’re having dinner with your in-laws you want to look polished, and still like yourself, but you also want to look like the best version of yourself without a lot of makeup. So this is the look I went for when we had dinner last year.

I started with Continue reading

Urban Decay – Naked Palette

Hi everyone,

I don’t have a lot of makeup at my boyfriend’s place, just some skincare things mascara and a Naked Palette. I did this look when his grandparent’s came to visit.

I used from the Urban Decay Naked Palette:
- Virgin on my browbone and inner corner
- Sin on my lid and blended just above the crease. Sin is also on my lower lashline.
- Toasted on the outer corner (top and bottom)
- I mixed 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Zero & Whiskey on my waterline

I also curled my lashes (with a MAC eyelashcurler and used a black mascara on my top lashes.

Video Tutorial – Make Up for photographs

Hi everyone,

My sister has a photoshoot next week and I can’t actually be there to do her makeup :(
This means she has to do it herself and she asked me for some tips and I thought I’d acturally do a video tutorial showing her some products (that I put in a box for her) and how to use them and what she should take into consideration when choosing products.

Here is the final look on me:

More pictures at the end of the post.

Under the video you’ll find Continue reading
