Simple makeup looks (same principle, different colours)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to show you how you can alter a quick and easy look to make it seem like a different look when it’s basically the same.

This look is very simple, you place a gold shade (Urban Decay – Half Baked) on the lid and use a slightly darker gold (Urban Decay – Baked) in the crease, blend this well. You then use the lighter gold (Half Baked) on the inner corner of the lower lashline and (darker gold) Half Baked on the outer corner of the lower lashline. The pop of turquoise colour (Urban Decay – Shattered) on the middle of the lower lashline adds a summery edge to the look.

To define the eye a little more but keep it light you shouldn’t take a hard black, but a warm tinted brown eyeliner pencil (Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner Pencil – Bourbon) to line the waterline and define the eye some more.

As a mascara I used the YSL – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking in black. This mascara is impressing me ever so slightly, why you might ask? Well, because even though it isn’t waterproof, it does hold up to a little rain, but taking it off doesn’t require a lot of rubbing even with a not amazing makeup remover.

For the next look I used Continue reading

Sally Hanson Salon Effects Girl Flower

Hi everyone,

After my holiday, I kept my old polish on for another half a week, so after about 10 days my nailpolish looked like this:

I’ve had my nephew at home this week so I needed another long lasting polish but I also wanted some nail art and I wanted a reminder of a great holiday with my boyfriend. So I took another gift from him to beautify my nails. I used Sally Hansen salon effects in 340 Girl Flower.

Isn’t she pretty? I love these! I know I can make them last for over the 10 days it says it will last if I don’t take baths. So shower it is for the coming week at least, a small price to pay for these cute nails.

You clean your nail with the buffer in the packet, then use a nailpolish remover to take away any oilyness. You press on the polish strips (unlike the stickers that other brands sell, these nailpolish strips actually are polish and do stay on for so much longer because of it). You then file away the edge and you’re done, no drying time or anything, this is so quick and easy that anyone can do this.

Travel Bag

Hi everyone,

This really is my last blog until I’m back from holiday. My adventure has actually started already and I’m already on my way…. but I wanted to finish this before I relaxed completely.

I’m going to England for about a week and I’m bringing only handluggage. Now I’ve chosen a sportsbag by Fila because it’s the right size and has handy compartments.

Because I’m using this and only this bag, I’ve been thinking a lot about my fluids to bring with me. I haven’t flown since 9/11 and with all the restrictions it’s getting difficult to pack only handluggage.

I’ll talk you through my fluids first. You can bring max. 10 products of max. 100 ml in a 1 litre ziplock bag. So that meant figuring out what’s a fluid and apparently creams are fluids too so that includes toothpaste and balms and lipgloss and mascara ARGH!!! How am I going to do this? Well, like this:

Let me tell you about what I’m bringing fluid wise:

Nfu-Oh 51

Hi everyone,

When I was reorganizing and photographing my polishes I re-fell in love with this amazing blue (with a hint of purple) jelly with multichrome red and green flakes. Nfu-Oh polishes are always a treat to the eye and I’m hoping this manicure will last for a week because I can’t remove it when I’m on holiday (unless I buy nailpolish remover).

So here are my holiday nails:

I placed a number on the cap of all the polish bottles and I’m going to give you the link to the original post with the polish, more information and all the pictures if you click on the name of the polish.

Yves Saint Laurent – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking

Hi everyone,

I did this bright makeup because I felt like adding colour after the many browns and neutrals of the last few months if I even wore any makeup at all.

When I did this look I immediately had the plan of testing this Yves Saint Laurent – Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking (6,4 ml = €30,48) that was in my April GlossyBox. I started today to see if my curl would fall, which it didn’t :D .

I’ll do water testing and tell you guys about removal and how it lasts etc etc in the next coming month. But first here are the pictures of the mascara on my lashes today when I first applied it:
