Remember when I posted about the summer nail trends of 2009?
Well, I wanted to start today, I have a cold, no voice and I felt like bright nails would cheer me up (and I couldn’t smell the nailpolish which was an added bonus).
Soooo here are my nails…. and yes all my fingers are crooked, I played volleyball when I was younger and well, all my fingers have been hurt at one time or another.

The nailpolish I used is Wild & More Speed dry nail polish so only available in the UK I think.
But this is just to give you an idea of yellow nails, many brands will bring out popping colours this summer.

Aw, feel better C! Take some Vitamin C and Zinc! Ironically, I haven’t been sick in a while. I think all those illnesses when I was little and the daily intake of Vitamin C finally have paid off. I get more migraines though now. Not sure if that’s a good thing.
I have a bright pink-coral color from OPI Nic Stik’s that I use when I’m feeling down. I’m currently sporting “Parlez-vous OPI?”
I never thought of Zinc, thank you so much, I’ll add that to my echinacea and vitamin C intake.

You’re very welcome. If you know the product called Zicame, Zicame is basically a dose of Zinc to your system except buying a bottle of Zinc is cheaper!
I actually got it yesterday and today my cough is less and I actually felt a lot better already. Now if the runny nose stops I’m completely happy. So thank you sooo much for the tip!
Oh, le nez qui coule. Ick. I hate runny noses, no matter how fun it is to say in French.

I really like this color! I feel like I would pair it with gold eye-makeup and a yellow top, just for the sake of being flamboyantly colorful. (I did this one day in Oxford, eyes and top anyway, and got some very strange looks. *sigh*)
Well, I also have a great love for flamboyance. I have a black and white arty pair of trousers (it had a silhouet of a face and brush strokes etc etc.). It’s a pair that I LOVE, I’m trying to fit in it again this summer (I do fit my old pencil skirt again, so I’m on the right path).
But I always team that up with my black converse high sneakers and a white Tshirt with a black jacket. White and black nails and usually lined eyes with a white highlight.
That also get’s strange looks, but I don’t mind, I like being different.
