Low calorie Tomato soup recipe

Hi everyone,

Here is another really amazing soup recipe (6 huge portions). This is a tomato soup and you start off with four small/medium chopped onions and 5 big garlic cloves chopped really finely in a soup pan with one tablespoon of olive oil. While that is softening, cut up 5 stalks of celery and about 500 gram of carrots (as you can see I did the chopping by hand, I tend to do all the chopping by hand in the weekend, it relaxes me).

Low calorie Chili Con Carne Recipe (plenty of veggies)

Hi everyone,

I thought I’d give you another really great low calorie recipe, this one is for “chili con carne”. It’s not your usual chili, even though it is a meat stew with onions, garlic, cumin, beans and tomatoes, but it doesn’t have chili peppers (my mum doesn’t like heat in her food) or paprika (I’m allergic).

I didn’t use any bacon to start off with because I didn’t want any extra calories because I was using minced beef, I would have used minced turkey if my mum wasn’t joining me for this dinner, but she doesn’t eat poultry but that would have taken out even more calories. Because this low fat minced beef does still have a little fat, I didn’t use any extra oil in the pan, if you’re using minced turkey or a meat substitute, you might want to add a little oil to the pot when you’re browning your meat (substitute).

While my meat was browning I chopped 4 garlic cloves fairly finely and chopped up two onions.

Low calorie cauliflower soup recipe

Hi everyone,

I thought it was time to give you guys a couple of new recipes, starting off with an adaption of Mario Batali’s Cauliflower soup recipe. Now I do have to tell you that I switch it up a little every time depending on if I have something leftover in the fridge that needs to be used up, and whether or not I have time to let it simmer for the amount of time Mario’s soup takes. So you too can also alter this to your own taste, I for instance am allergic to paprika, but I think it would be a great addition to this soup.

I’ll tell you the original recipe at the end of this recipe. Most soups are better if you take your time with them, but this was a day when I had little time so I changed the order and the ingredients to have it on the table about 20 to 30 minutes after I started. I also took out the pasta this time because of time constraints and I needed the calories lower because we all had apple pie just before.

I start off with Continue reading

Vichy – Normaderm review

Hi everyone,

When I got the Vichy – Normaderm tester in the last Truly Yours box I tried it out and noticed that the couple of spots that had appeared since February where very quickly disappearing I was amazed and remembered I had a Normaderm foundation and when I researched some more I saw that Normaderm wasn’t just for teens (Skin Concern: Acne Prone, Shine Prone Skin Type: Combination, Oily) sooo when my mum was sweet enough to say she’d buy me some I was really happy.

I got a couple of products and I’ll talk you through them.

In the Truly Yours March 2013 box I got two of Vichy – Normaderm Deepcleansing gel testers according to their card, but I think I got two Normaderm Daily Anti-Acne Hydrating Lotion samples.

So I thought I’d get Continue reading

Monthly Health Moments (January – March)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been getting more and more health related questions in real life in the last couple of months, so I thought I’d do a video on little things that I learn every month that make my life healthier. That’s how my daily life got healthy in the last 2 years, one little change at a time. Do realize that I’m not a professional, and not all the healthy things I read and find interesting, I do, if you want to incorporate a change, then do, if you don’t, then don’t.

I’m sorry it’s a pretty long video, I wanted to do the first one starting with the month January and then from now on it will be once a month if you guys like these videos.

The link to my famous Continue reading

Nailpolish Storage & Half Moon Manicure

Hi everyone,

You may be wondering with so many polishes how do I store them all. Well, it’s been quite a messy situation for a long time, but finally this weekend my dad and I made this storage rack for my polishes. I didn’t paint it because I wanted to use it a.s.a.p. Another reason is that I don’t know what house I will move into in the next few years and I might paint it then.

As you can see on top are my Color Clubs and in the rack are my Nfu-Oh, Nubar, OPI, China Glaze and Illamasqua polishes. I have my mini’s (Mavala, OPI, Bourjois and Orly) stashed in an old Beautybox and I have a few Misa, Rimmel London, Maybelline, etc. polishes in a mini drawer. I also have a few colours I wear a lot that I have double and I’m going to store a couple at my boyfriend’s place so that I can paint my nails there as well.

On the side I have some of the wire sticking out and those are bent upwards, so that I can hang my necklaces from them. I also have my Urban Decay polishes hanging there.

Here is Continue reading
